Thursday 7th August – Govindas for AYCE Vego and Sex and the City

AYCE Vegetarian at Govindas has been mooted as a possible next option, with a film to follow. That means AYCE with time constraints team!

The current film options are slim pickings, but this night seemed to be the best compromise.

Tacos Tackled!!!

Thanks to Jeff’s excellent on-site reporting, I am now discovering that as a team we downed tacos very close to a rate of $1 per taco… and that’s 63.5 tacos as a group total, by the way!  In other ways of putting things into perspective, we’re talking 1 taco every 1.8 minutes at the table.

It was a totally ridiculous evening heightened by excessive amounts of really quite average tacos… tacos which might not actually be called tacos in certain Central American regions.  Where was the salsa?  Points for consistency though – each one really did taste just like the last.

And many points to Jeff, Colin and Yaui who managed to ingest TEN tacos.  While we all started off the night with high expectations of our own personal taco counts… it turned out that the high refried bean content was far more filling than we knew.

It was an excellent starting point, however, and we look forward with shining eyes and slightly larger stomachs to next week’s conquest…

9.37 > Round five. Only Colin, Yaui and Jeff remain. Total Team Taco Tally of 61.5

9.49 > Round six. Yaui and Colin catch up round. All three remaining contenders on 10 tacos. It’s more than it sounds…
